Research- James Frank Tribble & Mancenido-Tribble

James Frank Tribble and Tracey Mancenido-Tribble are collective artists. They did a series on truckers in America, a documentary series. "Hurry up and wait" is an ongoing project where the artists are spending the year driving around in their own truck looking at the repitition and solitude these truckers endure for long, sometimes constant road travel.

They aim to show the openess of the road and the loneliness of the trucker, saying they hope their images will bring 'new light to the harsh beauty of this unknown world'. The images are certainly interesting in the sense that you get the impression of solitude, yet it seems like it could be appealing. However, you soon realise constantly moving and living out of an eighteen-wheeler isn't ideal.

It's not so much the portraits I'm interested in, stunning though they might be, it's more the landscapes and the journey the artists themselves are un
dertaking for it. It sums up what I would like to do and how I wanted to approach things originally.
